Andrew and Jessica grew up in the same neighborhood in Miami, they attended the same high school and have known each other since they were kids. Back them, Andrew used to come over to her house quite often, but it was more as a friend to Jessica's sister. They got the opportunity to hangout together in groups in many occasions, but it was always as a friend . Their relationship took a new turn five years ago when Andrew officially asked Jessica out on a date and they have been inseparable ever since.  

Few hours with them and I could tell how smitten he is with her. And she absolutely adores him too. They have been through so much in life, but their experiences together have brought them closer and made them stronger. 

It was Valentine's day, the streets of New York was filled with lovers. On the middle of a frozen lake in Central Park as the snow flakes were falling, Andrew got down on one knees and asked Jessica to marry him. Her face lit up with joy, and she couldn't stop mentioning how happy he makes her and how he means the world to her. It was the most beautiful moment.

Ritesh and Priya both lived in Nigeria as a kid, but parted their ways when they were pretty young. Ritesh moved to NYC with his parents, while Priya travelled the world and lived in Mumbai, LA, London and Singapore. Their paths cross again couple of years ago when Priya moved to NYC.

They shared the similar background as children and have both grown up to have the greatest appreciation for good food. Food and Nigeria were the very topics that got the conversation started on their first date.

Damaris teaches English overseas in Madrid. Milnes works for an IT firm in Upstate New York. Despite the distance, these two were bound to meet and plan a future together. They belong to the same church and were introduced last year by a common friend. Over the last six months they have shared a beautiful journey while maintaining a long distance relationship via endless conversations, international phone calls and emails.  

Grand Central holds a special place in their heart. This is where they shared their first kiss and spent many hours traveling back and forth from city to upstate to see each other. It was wonderful documenting their relationship at the place where it all began.

TAYLOR + JACOB | CENTRAL PARK SECRET PROPOSAL | NEW YORK CITY ENGAGEMENT PHOTOGRAPHER

Sophomore year college at a halloween party is where they first met. She was dressed up like Taylor swift and he was in his PJs dressed up like a bum. This meeting was the beginning of their friendship and a relationship that has blossomed beautifully over the years.

It was emotional for them to talk about each other. Tears rolled down her cheeks as Taylor mentioned how beautiful and special he makes her feel. Jacob's face lit up as he talked about how taylor has managed to not just fill his life with utmost love and happiness, but has won the heart of everyone around him with her sweet and kind nature. 

Last Thursday, Jacob and Taylor travelled from Texas to her favorite New York City. It was in the Bow bridge that Taylor cried the tears of happiness as Jacob got down in his knees proposing her to marry him.

SASCIA + KEVIN | BATTERY PARK CITY ENGAGEMENT | NEW YORK CITY ENGAGEMENT PHOTOGRAPHER

Sascia and Kevin worked for the same firm in Battery Park City couple of years ago. This is where it all began and since then they have moved up in their career to different places, but their relationship has grown to be stronger and beautiful. They got engaged over the summer in the beautiful Napa Valley and Kevin's sister who was their driver that day has the entire secret proposal captured for them in the camera. 

I was so excited when Sascia told me she wanted to do her couple's session around Battery Park City. It is one of the locations in the city that I haven't had the opportunity to photograph. From the iconic Irish memorial and the peaceful waterfront park to newly renovated World Financial Center with the underpass to the path station, everything is so fresh and beautiful.

It was a pleasure exploring the new downtown with these two gorgeous souls!
