Last weekend, I had the wonderful opportunity to witness the union of two beautiful souls. Emma and Steph flew in from England to celebrate their wedding week in the beautiful New York City. Their intimate ceremony took place in the Shakespeare Garden of Central Park with one witness and each other by the side. There were tears of happiness as they exchanged vows that were so touching and romantic.
SHRINKHALA + BHAV | FORT TRYON PARK MATERNITY | NEW YORK CITY MATERNITY PHOTOGRAPHER
Shrinkhala and Bhav are expecting their first child, a baby girl this May. I truly admire the excitement and joy they share as to-be-parents..
We didn't expect so much snow going into the day. But, by the time we were outside in Fort Tryon Park, we got hit pretty hard. Despite the weather, these two were such troopers. We stuck to our plan and had a fun adventure shooting in the snow.
CHRISTINA + FRANK | PRINCETON UNIVERSITY ENGAGEMENT | NEW JERSEY ENGAGEMENT PHOTOGRAPHER
Christina and Frank find themselves together in many childhood photos. Their families have been friends for decades, they grew up in the same town and attended the same church. But they were never close friends growing up. They barely hung out through high school and college. It is only years later when they moved back home after college that they connected and started dating.
When Christina and Frank picked the Princeton campus for their engagement session, I was thrilled. I had visited the campus 5 years ago and was intrigued by its architectural beauty. Despite the 10 degrees weather, frozen toes and finger tips, I had a blast documenting their sweet and gentle relationship, catching up on their wedding plans and memorializing the beauty of Princeton.
Christina and Frank: I am absolutely honored to document your big day this June! :)
JESSICA + ANDREW | CENTRAL PARK SECRET PROPOSAL | NEW YORK CITY ENGAGEMENT PHOTOGRAPHER
Andrew and Jessica grew up in the same neighborhood in Miami, they attended the same high school and have known each other since they were kids. Back them, Andrew used to come over to her house quite often, but it was more as a friend to Jessica's sister. They got the opportunity to hangout together in groups in many occasions, but it was always as a friend . Their relationship took a new turn five years ago when Andrew officially asked Jessica out on a date and they have been inseparable ever since.
Few hours with them and I could tell how smitten he is with her. And she absolutely adores him too. They have been through so much in life, but their experiences together have brought them closer and made them stronger.
It was Valentine's day, the streets of New York was filled with lovers. On the middle of a frozen lake in Central Park as the snow flakes were falling, Andrew got down on one knees and asked Jessica to marry him. Her face lit up with joy, and she couldn't stop mentioning how happy he makes her and how he means the world to her. It was the most beautiful moment.
Jessica and Andrew: I am so honored to have documented this day for you. Thank You! I wish you the best of wishes as you start your new Journey together.
PRIYA + RITESH | GRAND CENTRAL AND NEW YORK PUBLIC LIBRARY ENGAGEMENT | NEW YORK CITY ENGAGEMENT PHOTOGRAPHER
Ritesh and Priya both lived in Nigeria as a kid, but parted their ways when they were pretty young. Ritesh moved to NYC with his parents, while Priya travelled the world and lived in Mumbai, LA, London and Singapore. Their paths cross again couple of years ago when Priya moved to NYC.
They shared the similar background as children and have both grown up to have the greatest appreciation for good food. Food and Nigeria were the very topics that got the conversation started on their first date.
Ritesh and Priya: I wish you both a very happy journey as you plan your 2015 summer wedding in Long Island.
